MT Choco Chip Cookies

INGREDIENT LIST

Wet Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter, melted but then let it cool

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar *Grandmas secret!

  • 1 large egg

Dry Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ¾ cup packed brown sugar

  • ⅔ cup granulated sugar

  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Other:

  • Maldon sea salt flakes

PREPARATION

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.

  2. In a medium bowl, mix the dry ingredients: all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.

  3. In a separate large bowl, mix the wet ingredients: barely melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, apple cider vinegar, and the egg.

  4. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.

  5. Gently fold in the chocolate chips, mixing just until they are incorporated.

  6. Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a baking sheet.

  7. Bake for 10-11 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.

  8. Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with Maldon sea salt flakes.

  9. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet so they harden up before transferring to a wire rack!!
